Delete your AskPreceptor account

How to request deletion of your account and its data

AskPreceptor is a study tool for medical students. If you have an account and want it and its data erased, there are two ways to do it.

In the app or on the website

  1. Sign in at askpreceptor.com or in the Android app.
  2. Open Account, in the bottom navigation.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Confirm. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Go to the Account page

By email, if you have already uninstalled

Write to the contact address shown on the Google Play listing, from the account's email address, asking for deletion. We respond within 30 days.

Deleting only part of it, keeping your account

It is not all or nothing. You can ask for some data to be erased and keep your account:

  • Your case progress — write and ask, and we erase your scores and attempts, leaving the account, region and language intact.
  • An error report you filed — tell us which one and we remove it.
  • Your waitlist sign-up — just ask.

Use the contact address on the Google Play listing, writing from the account's email address. We respond within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your email and profile
No record of who you are remains.
Your case progress
Scores, attempts and completed cases.
Your usage history
The counts behind the daily allowance.
Rewarded ads you watched
The record of unlocked analyses.

What is kept, and why

Error reports you filed
The report text remains but is no longer linked to you — it is what lets us correct a wrong clinical case, and deleting it would bring the error back.
Waitlist sign-ups
Likewise: unlinked from the deleted account.

Retention periods

The account and everything linked to it are gone the moment you confirm — there is no grace period and no copy kept aside.

Separately from the account, the anonymous device identifier and the network address travel with each analysis request to enforce the daily limit, and are discarded after 48 hours. They are not linked to your account and expire on their own, whether or not you delete it.

What was never stored

The text of the cases you wrote and the analyses you received are not stored anywhere. They are processed to produce the answer and not retained — there is nothing of that kind to delete.
